Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller for a 12-month contract in Henlow, UK. The role involves managing stock, loading manufacturing cells, and updating records. Candidates must have a fork lift truck licence and experience in a manufacturing environment. Pay ranges from £24.78 to £26.12 per hour. Security clearance is required before starting.

Responsibilities

  • Stock control / storekeeping including shelf-life control.
  • Loading the manufacturing cells with requisite jobs.
  • Updating computer records.
  • Kitting activity.
  • Loading and unloading of Lorries.

Skills

Experience in a stores environment or manufacturing control
PC skills, including EXCEL
Fork lift truck licence essential
Knowledge of Kanban and 2 bin systems
Experience with an Enterprise Planning System e.g. SAP
Attention to detail
Willing to work flexible shift patterns

Overview

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit someone as a Inventory Controller for 12 months. As the Inventory Controller you will be involved in the issue, receipt and management of stores and inventory in a store's environment. Loading, control, and monitoring of work packages in a manufacturing environment.

Role and Details

Role: Inventory Controller
Pay: 24.78 - 26.12 per hour via Umbrella
Contract: Monday- Friday, 37 Hours per week, 12-month contract
Location: Henlow
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: Security Clearance Required before starting, UK Eyes only project

Responsibilities
  • Stock control / storekeeping including shelf-life control.
  • Loading the manufacturing cells with the requisite jobs in accordance with planned lead and cycle times, to comply with manufacturing programmes and delivery schedules.
  • Packing including the use of hand tools. Receiving and issuing tooling.
  • Updating computer records.
  • Kitting activity.
  • Loading and unloading of Lorries.
Skills & Experience
  • Experience in a stores environment or manufacturing control.
  • Follow instructions.
  • PC skills, including EXCEL.
  • Fork lift truck licence essential
  • Knowledge of Kanban and 2 bin systems.
  • Experience with an Enterprise Planning System e.g. SAP.
  • Willing to work flexible shift patterns.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Work on own with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible.
  • Manual handling training.
  • Lifting & Slinging training (Including overhead cranes).
  • ESD training.
