Job summary

Alpine Racing Limited is seeking an ambitious Inventory Accountant to join our Finance team and own end-to-end inventory accounting processes, including journal entries, stock counts, and cost allocation.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will ensure accuracy, support regulatory compliance, and collaborate with operations to resolve discrepancies and drive improvements in reporting and controls across parts, materials, tooling and manufacturing inputs.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• At least one year of inventory accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting principles, stock control processes and standard costing.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory-related journal entries and ensure inventory movements are accurately recognised.
• Maintain robust records and audit trails for all inventory transactions.
• Oversee works order ending process and collaborate with operations to resolve issues.
• Support monthly and annual stock counts, investigate discrepancies and account for adjustments/write-offs.
• Monitor inventory activities to ensure compliance with policies and controls.
• Analyze variances against budgets/forecasts and provide commentary to stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of inventory reporting, processes and controls.
• Work with the wider business to ensure accurate activity-based reporting and cost allocation.
• Develop understanding of FIA Financial Regulations to support Cost Cap reporting.
