Job summary

Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London is seeking an Invasive Cardiac Physiologist to support the Angiology/EP department on a part-time bank shift basis. The role involves collaborating with electrophysiology specialists to diagnose and treat complex arrhythmias using Bard, Micropace EP systems and Carto V7.

The position requires post-qualification clinical experience, strong English communication, and the ability to lead audits and participate in research within a dynamic clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Post-qualification clinical experience.
• Specialist knowledge through training as a Clinical Physiologist.
• Experience in invasive electrophysiology including 3D mapping.
• Ability to perform diagnostic investigations in various clinical settings.
• Experience in day-to-day supervision of staff.
• Ability to lead and participate in audit or research projects.
• Testing and trials of clinical equipment.
• Evidence of strong written and oral English communication.

Responsibilities

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role

• Appropriate clinical experience post qualification.
• Highly developed specialist knowledge acquired through training as a Clinical Physiologist.
• Extensive experience in a wide range of invasive and techniques involved in the assessment and therapy provision for patients with cardiac disease, specifically in complex electrophysiology including 3D mapping.
• Able to perform range of specialist diagnostic investigations on patients in a variety of clinical settings.
• Experience in day-to-day supervision of staff.
• Ability to lead and take part in audit or research projects.
• Undertakes testing and trials of clinical equipment.
• Evidence of highly developed written and oral communication skills in English in a variety of settings.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Clinical Cardiac Physiology or BSc in Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) or PTP equivalence.
• At least one certification for Electrophysiology and CRM British Society Heart Rhythm for Cardiac Rhythm Management Devices or Electrophysiology International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners for Certified Electrophysiology Specialist or Certified Cardiac Device Specialist European Heart Rhythm Association certified cardiac device specialists.
• Evidence of maintaining relevant Continuing Professional Development ILS - Immediate Life Support Course.
