Job summary

Alexander James Recruiting is partnering with a leading manufacturer of material handling, automation and robotics to appoint a Solution Design Manager. The role covers the UK, overseeing the solutions team of project and design engineers and product specialists, and supporting the sales bid process.

You will coordinate bid activities, develop customer-specific automation concepts (AGVs, AMRs, etc.) and mentor customers on technical components.

Qualifications

• Experience in Solution Design Management within Intralogistics.
• Strong understanding of system integration and automated/robotics solutions.
• Background in management of high-value accounts and diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the solutions design team across the UK.
• Assist the sales team during the offer phase and validate budgets.
• Coordinate all team members through the bid process.
• Develop concepts for automated logistics requirements (AGVs, AMRs, etc.).
• Mentor customers on technical components of products.
• Attend customer sites across the UK to support project/sales teams.
• Provide technical support to in-house engineering teams.
