• Clinical Physiology Degree or equivalent (BTEC/HNC + Specialist courses).
• Proven experience in Cardiology and diagnostic procedures.
• Immediate Life Support (ILS) accreditation.
• Demonstrated CPD in Cardiology.
• Registration with the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS).
• Membership of the Society for Cardiac Science & Technology (SCST).

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and specialist cardiac investigations.
• Monitor patient haemodynamic and respond to acute changes.
• Operate and interpret data from specialised equipment.
• Record and analyse right heart pressures and cardiac output.
• Produce efficient and detailed procedural reports.
• Assist with Genesis stock control and student training.

Position: Intervention Cardiac Physiologist (Band 6)

Location: Clydebank

Contract Type: Contract (Monday- Friday, 08:00-16:00)

Contract Dates: 5th January 2026 – 30th January 2026

Salary Band: Band 6 ( Gross Approx - £4000-£4700)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Intervention Cardiac Physiologist to join a team near Clydebank. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality diagnostic cardiac services, supporting the assessment and diagnosis of cardiac disorders in both cardiac and non-cardiac patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex and specialist cardiac investigations.
• Monitor patient haemodynamic and respond to acute changes.
• Operate and interpret data from specialised equipment including:
  • Temporary Pacing Line (TPL)
  • Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
  • IVUS & OCT imaging systems
  • Pressure wire systems (FFR & CFR)
  • High-speed rotational atherectomy (HSRA)
  • Valvuloplasty and device implantations (ASD, TEER, VSD)
• Record and analyse right heart pressures and cardiac output.
• Produce efficient and detailed procedural reports.
• Assist with Genesis stock control and student training.
