As a summer analyst, you will enter a supportive, collaborative environment known for its pace. During your internship, we will teach you entrepreneurial skills within the bank's fast-growing division. You'll interact with global clients, support in deals, and learn from senior bankers. This programme covers financial modelling, credit skills, CIB products, and solutions, plus understanding product sets like FX, DCM, and Barclaycard. You will gain a deeper understanding to master the end-to-end deal process, execution, and soft client management skills. You have the chance to contribute to growth, innovate solutions, align with sustainability goals, and assist senior bankers, gaining a platform for impact and development.
Your responsibilities encompass assisting with relationship loans, cash management RFPs, trade finance facilities, amongst others. To be considered for this programme, you must be in your penultimate year of your degree, in any discipline. Ideally, you'll have a keen interest in finance and business. We value resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial spirit, all of which might be showcased through your involvement in extracurricular activities.
The location for this role is indicated in the job title, and you will be based at that location. If you are accepted into our graduate programme, your base location will be the same as it was during your internship. Barclays will accept applications from candidates who require visa sponsorship to work in the UK and will provide a skilled worker visa for successful applicants if they meet the Home Office’s eligibility criteria for a skilled worker visa. Successful applicants who are not eligible to receive a skilled worker visa, and who we are therefore unable to secure a skilled worker visa for, will be required to have their own legal right to work in the UK on a full-time basis from June 2027 to August 2027.
