Job summary

Aberdeen plc in the United Kingdom seeks an Internal Audit Specialist to strengthen risk management and support the group’s future-oriented initiatives. You will contribute to a strong audit program and professional development within a collaborative team.

Working on a blended basis with three days in the office, you will deliver high-quality audit work, validate findings, and build effective stakeholder relationships to support governance and assurance across the business.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IIA standards and internal audit practices.
• Experience in accounting, audit or risk roles.
• Analytical skills to diagnose issues and identify root causes.
• Clear written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to influence and build relationships at multiple levels.
• Understanding of financial services regulations and governance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of the audit plan by researching entities and risks.
• Deliver high-quality audit work and validate issues.
• Build relationships with Audit Managers and senior stakeholders.
• Lead audit tasks where appropriate and oversee scope.
• Analyse issues and communicate findings clearly with root-cause analysis.
• Model the vision and support teams to deliver timely work.
