Job summary

Barclay Simpson is supporting a London-based financial services organisation to appoint a Senior Internal Audit Contractor to help deliver its 2026 business audit plan. The role is based in London with five days per week in the office and includes a daily lunch allowance.

Immediate start preferred for a six‑month contract. Delivery-focused, the candidate will handle end-to-end audit assignments across various business areas.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering end-to-end internal audit assignments.
• Experience in corporate banking or financial services audit.
• Big 4 experience would be well received.

I'm currently supporting a London-based financial services organisation looking to appoint a Senior Internal Audit Contractor to support the delivery of its 2026 business audit plan.

This is a hands-on delivery role, working as part of a small Internal Audit team and taking responsibility for end-to-end audit assignments across a broad range of business audit reviews.

I'm keen to speak with candidates from Internal Audit, External Audit or SOX backgrounds. Big 4 experience would be well received, although candidates with relevant UK financial services audit experience gained elsewhere will also be considered. Experience within corporate banking would be particularly advantageous.

The role is based in London and requires 5 days per week in the office. A daily lunch allowance is also provided.
