Job summary

Brunswick Group is seeking a proactive Intern to join the Brunswick Arts team in London on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will support day-to-day client account activities, deliver news updates, and develop a solid understanding of clients’ businesses.

You will assist with media monitoring, research, drafting materials, and coordinating events while gaining exposure to high-profile clients and strategic communications work in the arts sector.

Qualifications

  • At least 1.5+ years’ experience in a relevant industry.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Media monitoring across national papers, art/design trades, and online outlets.
  • Social media monitoring and trend analysis for select issues and clients.
  • Proofreading and drafting media materials, background documents, and media lists.
  • Coordinate logistics for media and client meetings, attend client events as requested.
  • Background research to support Partners and Directors for networking and new business meetings.
  • Identify media and visibility opportunities; generate ideas for campaigns; pitch stories.
  • Support Brunswick Arts events coordination and attend exhibitions and arts events as needed.
  • Assist with client diary management and various administration tasks.

Opportunity

As an Intern on a 6-month fixed-term contract (FTC), you would form an integral part of the Brunswick Arts team, providing support across the Brunswick Arts team in London and helping with the day to day running of client accounts amongst other key tasks.

As an Intern, you will deliver timely news updates and research to inform our work, and in doing so you will develop a strong understanding of clients’ businesses. Brunswick Executives are the eyes and ears of their teams; they prepare key client documents and often lead on research, working alongside our research teams.

About the Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Media monitoring – national broadsheet newspapers, art and design trade, consumer, lifestyle and online outlets
  • Social media monitoring – on select issues and clients, trend analysis
  • Proof reading and drafting media materials, background documents and media lists (using our tools)
  • Effectively handle logistics around media and client meetings, announcement days, and other client events. Attend client meetings as requested
  • Background research to support the Partners and Directors for networking and new business meetings
  • Identify and assess media and visibility opportunities for clients; generate ideas for campaigns and appropriate outlets; pitch stories
  • Participating in the coordination of and attending Brunswick Arts events
  • Acting as an ambassador for, and building the network of Brunswick Arts – e.g. attending exhibitions, previews and performing arts events
  • Support on client diary management for senior team
  • Provide support on varied ad-hoc, administration tasks
