Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to work to rules and regulations.
• Proven ability to absorb and apply traction, routes, and notices.
• Capable of reporting safety issues promptly to control or Signalman.

Responsibilities

• Attend and report for duty at the directed time and place.
• Carry out safe movement of traction and respond to service faults.
• Maintain knowledge of traction, routes, rules, and operating notices.
• Adjust driving technique to prevailing weather and rail conditions.
• Observe signals and report irregularities to the Signalman.
