Penguin Recruitment in Manchester is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join a busy building services consultancy. The role focuses on producing detailed mechanical designs and calculations for varied projects while liaising with clients and project stakeholders.

We require a degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering and at least 3 years' experience, with AutoCAD proficiency. Hevacomp or TAS are advantageous, and the position offers hybrid working with ongoing

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical building services design.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Hevacomp and/or TAS is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical building services designs and calculations for a variety of projects.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and attend project meetings to ensure designs are implemented effectively.
• Support senior engineers and mentoring junior team members as required.
