About the Company

A growing building services consultancy delivering sustainable, high-quality projects across the retail, education, heritage, and industrial sectors, with recent expansion into high-end residential work. The company has grown steadily over the past year, adding new team members and taking on a wider range of projects.

They're seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to bridge the gap between the Technical Director and a team of three graduate/junior engineers. The role is primarily office‑based in Milton Keynes, with flexibility for hybrid working. You'll take responsibility for mechanical design delivery, technical supervision, and mentoring, while contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver mechanical (HVAC) design packages under senior guidance
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, and architectural teams
• Produce and review calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Support design reviews, QA processes, and client meetings
• Occasionally attend site visits and inspections

About You

• 3‑7 years' experience in building services (consultancy or contractor background)

• Interest in sustainability and low‑carbon design
• Working toward Chartership (desirable)
