Overview

We are working alongside a privately‑owned Building Services consultancy in Birmingham who are looking for an ambitious Mechanical Engineer to join their growing office. Your workload is varied, offering different challenges and rewards. Projects cover sectors such as Custodial, Healthcare, Education, Residential, Commercial and more. There is a clear path for progression to senior level and beyond for the right people.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for design development, including drawings and calculations.
  • Liaise with clients, other design team members and contractors.
  • Liaise with other team members to plan workload and resources.
  • Produce drawings and calculations and check those of others.
  • Author official documents including letters, reports and specifications.
Skills and Experience
  • Sound technical knowledge of mechanical building services.
  • AutoCAD / REVIT familiarity (although not critical).
  • Familiar with industry standard calculation programmes, e.g. Hevacomp, Cymap, IES.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
