Intermediate Electrical Engineer

Location: London (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per year

The Opportunity

We are looking for an ambitious Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic and growing building services consultancy. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile projects across multiple sectors, including commercial, education, data centres, and specialist facilities. About You

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in electrical engineering within a consultancy or contractor environment. You should have a good understanding of other building services disciplines, strong technical capability, and a willingness to take on client-facing responsibilities as you grow within the team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in designing electrical building services systems from concept to detailed coordination.
  • Apply sustainable design principles and technologies under guidance.
  • Support commissioning processes and implementation of best practices.
  • Contribute to on-site technical services, including contractor monitoring and quality assurance.
  • Conduct site surveys and validation exercises.
  • Work across a variety of sectors including commercial, fit‑out, education, data centres, and residential projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a consultancy or contracting environment.
  • Familiarity with commercial and/or data centre projects is preferred.
  • Competence in AutoCAD and exposure to 3D BIM modelling tools.
  • Ability to produce technical reports, specifications, and electrical calculations.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
