Job summary

Perkins&Will London is seeking an Intermediate Architect with 3–5 years of experience to join our design studio. You will contribute to a range of projects across corporate interiors, urban design, and hospitality, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

You will produce drawings, models, and documentation, develop design concepts, coordinate with consultants, and help drive sustainable design solutions while growing technical independence.

Qualifications

• Professional Degree in Architecture is required.
• Experience developing and coordinating architectural packages.
• Good understanding of building systems, regulations and technical principles.
• The ability to integrate architectural, structural, environmental and building-services considerations into coordinated design solutions.
• Confidence communicating design ideas through drawings, models, presentations and verbal communication.
• Experience working collaboratively with clients, consultants and contractors.
• The ability to manage defined areas of work with increasing independence.
• A proactive, curious and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• An interest in sustainable, people-centred and contextually responsive design.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design process and adhere to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.
• Develops confidence and knowledge in all aspects of the design process, while displaying increasing levels of independence.
• Assists in generating creative and innovative design ideas, concepts and solutions while participating as an integral member of the design team.
• Generates drawings, calculations and prepares and reviews documentation including schedules, minutes, notes and reports under supervision for all project stages.
• Exercises critical and creative judgment and design application skills in preparing client presentation materials.
• Completes tasks and responsibilities on projects including scheduling and budgeting in an organized, timely and consistent way.
• Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.
• Expresses curiosity about the world of design and the industry at large.
• Takes increasing ownership of tasks within project teams and studio activities.
• Participates in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups.
• Keeps open communication within team and with designated team leader.
• Communicates ideas and thoughts in a way that inspires others.
• Coordinates effectively with partners and consultants.
• Incorporates Integrated Regenerative Design solutions into projects to meet targets.
• Represents the practice and raise its profile in a positive manner.
