Job summary

Butler Rose is recruiting an experienced Tax Manager for a 6-month assignment in Plymouth. You will oversee tax compliance, reporting and advisory activities while supporting senior stakeholders across the business, with hybrid working.

Key responsibilities include leading the tax team, managing all tax compliance and reporting, supporting year-end accounts and audits, and providing expert tax advice while ensuring compliance with changing legislation.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with tax qualification (CTA, ATT) beneficial but not essential.
• Significant tax accounting and compliance experience.
• Strong technical tax knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Able to communicate complex tax matters clearly to non-finance colleagues.
