Job summary

Prospectus is seeking a proactive Senior Management Accountant to join a finance team supporting a complex, project-based organisation. This 6-month interim role is based in St Albans, on site three days per week, combining core management accounting with business partnering, budgeting, forecasting and project finance support.

You will work with budget holders and project leads to deliver monthly management accounts, support budgeting processes, monitor performance, and provide insightful

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience preparing management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Strong analytical and financial business partnering skills.
• Excellent Excel and financial systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and financial analysis.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Partner with budget holders and project leads to monitor performance.
• Provide financial reporting and insight for decision-making.
• Ensure project funding and funder compliance.
• Monitor income, expenditure and risks against targets.
• Support process improvements and reporting tools development.
• Deliver stakeholder guidance to non-finance colleagues.
