Role Purpose:
The post holder will provide strategic input to the design, planning, implementation, and evaluation of public health programmes across Slough by helping to embed an insight-informed decision-making culture. You will contribute to the development of strategic partnerships to improve health outcomes to protect and improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities for our residents.

What you will do:

• Lead strategic input into public health programme planning and evaluation, ensuring insight-driven decision making.
• Utilise your advanced skills in data sourcing, cleaning, management, and visualisation to interpret complex datasets effectively.
• Provide high-level guidance to internal and external stakeholders, enhancing public health strategies and policies.
• Coordinate the operational delivery of health intelligence programmes, supervising and guiding public health staff.
• Foster strategic partnerships across Berkshire with NHS and community groups to optimise collaborative health initiatives.

Requirements:
– A public health-related qualification at degree level with a Post Graduate qualification such as MPH.
– Commitment to ongoing professional development and expertise in public health, epidemiology, and health services.
– Proven senior management experience in complex organisations handling significant change and transformation.
– Extensive knowledge of local government, NHS, and Integrated Care Boards, understanding strategic and financial challenges.
