Performance Test Expert (NFT, Non-Functional Testing and Strategy) – Banking Client

Duration: 1 year | Rate: €600 per day | Location: London | Hybrid Working – 8 days onsite in the London office per month.

Role: As a specialist in non‑functional related testing, you will assist the squads in shaping and managing the Non‑Functional test requirements. Together with technical experts and analysts you will translate those requirements into a test strategy and ensure proper and timely preparation and execution in alignment with our Infrastructure & Security divisions. You will be part of a team of three NFT specialists where cross‑learning and collaboration are valued. The NFT domains to be covered by the team are: Disaster Recovery, Resilience, Microservices, Security, Alerting, Monitoring, Performance, and CPU Usage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the definition and testing of non‑functional requirements (NFRs) as part of the technology transformation (Java, Kafka, Linux, Cloud, API).
  • Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure non‑functional requirements are clearly defined and testable.
  • Define and articulate the Non‑Functional Test Strategy.
  • Design and execute NFR testing cycles, coordinating efforts with external teams until bottleneck resolution through root‑cause examination.
  • Document test results and compile them into consolidated high‑level reports.
Requirements
  • Hands‑on experience in the preparation and execution of Non‑Functional Testing, ideally within Financial Services.
  • Knowledge of non‑functional testing including performance, scalability, reliability, failover/disaster recovery, and accessibility testing.
  • Experience with testing tools such as Performance Center / LoadRunner, ADS, Selenium, Xray, and Splunk.
  • Experience working within large‑scale and complex technology implementations or change.
  • Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive non‑functional test approaches, plans, and cases.
  • Technical strength to translate requirements to technical experts at the level of security and/or infrastructure.
  • Ability to translate test results into understandable language for non‑specialists and advise the business, design, infrastructure, and development teams on resolution priorities.
  • Hands‑on experience with agile development practices, DevOps pipelines, continuous integration / deployment, and test automation.
