A leading national charity is seeking an Interim PMO Lead for a 12-month contract to design and oversee a new Project Management Office. This role involves shaping project governance and delivery across the organisation, with a hybrid working model of approximately 50% in-office. The ideal candidate will have significant PMO experience and a recognised project management qualification, and will engage with various stakeholders to implement best practices in project management.

We are seeking an Interim PMO Lead on a 12 month contract to design, embed, and oversee a new Project Management Office (PMO) that will underpin complex change activity across the organisation.
Reporting to the Director of Performance & Technology, the Interim PMO Lead will play a critical leadership role in shaping how projects are governed, delivered, and monitored across the organisation. You will build and embed a robust PMO function that ensures consistency, clarity, and confidence in the delivery of transformation initiatives.
Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, you will lead on the creation of effective governance structures, risk management processes, reporting frameworks, and performance dashboards. This is a highly influential post that will help the organisation navigate change, maximise impact, and embed project management best practice at every level.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, brings strong systems-thinking capability, and enjoys building organisational capacity. Your work will directly strengthen outcomes for young people nationwide.
The organisation operates a hybrid working model, with an expectation of colleagues being office-based for approximately 50% of their working week (typically five days across a two-week period). Adjustments will be made for part-time or alternative working pattern arrangements.
