Job summary

The Education Village Academy Trust is seeking an interim Payroll Officer with experience in education payroll to join the People Team. You will deliver accurate payroll and pensions services for all Trust employees, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and robust controls.

You will maintain workforce data, provide payroll reporting for decision-making, and contribute to system improvements across HR and payroll platforms, including Edupay and TES.

Job description

We're looking to appoint an interim payroll officer with experience in education payroll.

Immediate start: Interviews 20th, 21st Aug.

The Payroll Officer plays a key role in delivering an accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll and pensions service for all Trust employees. The postholder ensures payroll processes are carried out in line with statutory requirements and supported by robust controls, clear audit trails, and high-quality data.

The role also maintains accurate workforce and establishment data and provides payroll-related reporting to support operational decision-making.

Working as part of the wider People Team, the Payroll Officer supports the delivery of key activities and projects aligned to the Trust’s People Strategy, including the implementation and continuous improvement of HR and payroll systems.

This position plays a key role in ensuring strong compliance, data integrity and high‑quality payroll service delivery across the Trust.
