Job summary

Staffordshire Emergency Duty Service is seeking an experienced Interim Team Manager for an out-of-hours, six-month fixed-term role. You will provide leadership and safeguarding oversight to ensure the delivery of safe, responsive statutory services for vulnerable children, adults and families across Staffordshire.

The post requires a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with strong safeguarding knowledge and management experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experienced Team Manager or senior practitioner with safeguarding knowledge.
• AMHP approval desirable for out-of-hours Mental Health Act work.
• Knowledge of Children's Services, Adult Social Care and Mental Health legislation.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide management oversight of safeguarding and risk decisions.
• Supervise social work staff within the EDS team.
• Ensure statutory duties and service standards are maintained; undertake QA and performance monitoring.
• Support effective multi-agency working and partnership engagement.
• Assist with workforce planning and operational management.
• Support service transformation and system changes (Liquidlogic).
• Represent the Emergency Duty Service outside normal office hours.
