Portakabin is seeking an interim Management Accountant at its Head Office in York for a 6-month fixed-term period. The role focuses on delivering timely monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost control across projects and business units.

You will provide financial analysis and coordinate with project teams to monitor performance, ensuring robust financial controls and timely reporting to auditors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level with a professional accounting qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts and cash flow forecasts to support business decision-making.
• Manage and complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and contribute to finance projects.
• Provide clear financial analysis and interpretation to managers, ensuring understanding of the financial implications of decisions.
• Liaise with operational and project teams to monitor project performance, maintain margins, and control costs.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors, providing accurate and timely financial information.
• Offer financial guidance to colleagues to support adherence to financial controls and policies.
