The Role

You’ll take ownership of the monthly management accounts process and play a key role in supporting cashflow performance. This is a hands‑on role within a small finance function, working closely with the FC and wider leadership team.

Client Details

A growing manufacturing and distribution business in Scunthorpe is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller. This is an on‑site role due to confidentiality requirements and would suit someone available at short notice. Temp‑to‑perm will be considered.

Description
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and management information packs
  • Supporting month‑end processes and general ledger work
  • Raising and processing payments and ensuring accurate financial data
  • Managing debtor collections and supporting creditor management
  • Monitoring and improving cashflow; understanding cash cycles and cashflow statements
  • Providing financial support to the FC and FD as required
  • Assisting in the implementation of a new Oracle ERP system (go‑live in ~6 months)
  • Contributing to a PE‑influenced, leveraged environment following a recent LBO
Profile
  • Strong management accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing, distribution, or similar product‑based environments
  • Excellent understanding of cashflow, cash cycles, and working capital management
  • Digitally savvy with the ability to support systems change (ERP experience a bonus)
  • Comfortable working in a small, hands‑on finance team
  • Exposure to PE‑backed or leveraged environments is desirable
  • Able to start quickly, with interviews arranged swiftly (initial virtual, follow‑up on‑site)
