With significant capital to deploy and a robust pipeline of opportunities, the business is entering a critical phase of its growth journey and is seeking an experienced Interim M&A Director to accelerate transaction activity and help deliver a transformational buy-and-build strategy.

Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the CEO, Board and private equity investors, you will provide immediate leadership across the deal lifecycle, driving execution across a highly active deal pipeline. This is a delivery-focused mandate where success will be measured by transactions completed, integrations executed and value creation achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end execution of acquisitions from target evaluation through to completion.
  • Build and challenge valuations, financial models and investment cases.
  • Coordinate financial, legal, commercial, tax and operational due diligence workstreams.
  • Support negotiations, transaction structuring and deal execution.
  • Work closely with the CFO, Board and PE sponsor on acquisition strategy and prioritisation.
  • Manage relationships with external advisers including corporate finance, legal and diligence providers.
  • Develop and refine acquisition and integration frameworks to support future activity.
  • Lead post-deal integration planning and value creation initiatives.
  • Prepare investment papers, Board materials and strategic updates for key stakeholders.
Candidate Profile

We’re keen to speak with individuals who can demonstrate:

  • Significant M&A execution experience gained within Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance or Transaction Services.
  • A strong track record delivering buy-side acquisitions.
  • Experience operating within PE-backed, acquisitive or buy-and-build environments.
  • Advanced financial modelling, valuation and due diligence capabilities.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders across management teams, investors and advisers.
  • Financial services experience is highly desirable.
