W&A is supporting a well‑established organisation to appoint anInterim Insurance Managerwho will provide continuity, leadership and practical support on all insurance matters.

This6-month role, based inEdinburgh with hybrid working, offers the chance to step into a key position with immediate impact.

The Opportunity

You’ll take the lead on day‑to‑day insurance operations, managing claims, supporting colleagues, and guiding one direct report. You’ll also contribute to annual renewals, maintain insurer and broker relationships, and help ensure clear, accessible guidance is in place for staff and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage liability, travel, vehicle and property claims, ensuring timely resolution
  • Support the annual renewal process and provide accurate information for tenders
  • Maintain clear insurance guidance, procedures and training materials
  • Promote good travel planning and advise on higher‑risk activities
  • Liaise with insurers, brokers, loss adjusters and internal teams
  • Manage, support and develop the Insurance Assistant
  • Respond to daily enquiries and provide clear advice on cover and policy wording
