A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Interim HR professional for a 3-month fixed-term contract in Hull and East Yorkshire. This hands-on role requires strong operational HR capabilities, particularly in managing employee relations and coaching HR teams. The ideal candidate will have HR management experience, be comfortable working on-site, and be available immediately. This position focuses on stabilizing HR operations and providing effective leadership support to line managers.
We are currently supporting an organisation to appoint an experienced Interim HR professional on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This is a hands‑on, operational role requiring someone who can hit the ground running and provide strong on‑site leadership and support.
This is a delivery‑focused interim position, ideal for an HR professional who is comfortable operating at pace and dealing with complex day‑to‑day people matters. You will play a key role in stabilising and strengthening HR operations while supporting and coaching the existing team and line managers.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a varied caseload of employee relations (ER) matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance issues
Leading on absence management, ensuring policies are applied consistently and effectively
Providing on‑site HR management and visibility, acting as a trusted advisor to managers
Coaching and supporting the current HR team to embed good practice and build confidence
Supporting line managers to improve capability and consistency in people management
Identifying opportunities to embed and improve HR processes and behaviours
We are keen to speak with HR professionals who:
Have strong operational HR experience, ideally at HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor level
Are confident managing ER cases end‑to‑end with minimal supervision
Are comfortable being on‑site and visible, working closely with managers
Have experience coaching HR teams and line managers
Are available immediately or at short notice
Can commit to a 3-month fixed‑term contract
Experience in fast‑paced or change environments would be an advantage
