A leading HR consultancy is seeking an experienced Interim HR Advisor to focus on People Experience and ensure a positive workplace environment. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of HR experience, with a strong focus on compliance and conflict resolution. This position requires working 3 days in Derby and 2 days remotely.

Overview

Interim HR Advisor (People Experience/Employee Relations), £325 per day inside IR35

2 months rolling, Derby & Remote Working

Bench IT require an experienced HR Advisor to focus on People Experience and serve as a trusted business partner, providing expert guidance on employee relations matters to ensure a positive, compliant, and productive workplace environment. This role requires hands-on case management to support managers and employees through complex workplace situations while upholding organizational values and legal requirements. This position will be working 3 days per week in Derby and the remaining 2 days per week remotely.

The successful candidate should have the skills & experience below;

Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations Case Management: Investigate and resolve employee relations issues including workplace conflicts, performance concerns, policy violations, and grievances. Conduct thorough, impartial investigations while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring fair process. Document cases comprehensively and recommend appropriate corrective actions or resolutions.
  • Advisory and Consultation: Partner with managers and leaders to provide guidance on employee relations best practices, disciplinary actions, performance management, and workplace policies. Offer proactive coaching to prevent issues from escalating and support managers in handling sensitive conversations and decisions.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field. Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) preferred. Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years focused on employee relations or similar investigative role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in employment law, investigation techniques, and conflict resolution. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
