Job summary

Ganymede Solutions is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer for a contract role in Leicester, covering two sites about 15 minutes apart. This interim position involves owning HSE across operations, ensuring compliance and driving a strong safety culture.

You will report to senior leadership, conduct inspections, risk assessments, audits, and KPI reporting, and support ISO standards. NEBOSH Diploma preferred, manufacturing background essential.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualification (Diploma preferred).
• Experience as Health & Safety Manager in manufacturing, recycling, waste management or industrial environments.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Health & Safety across two sites.
• Conduct site inspections, safety walks and risk assessments.
• Produce HSE KPIs, statistics and management reports.
• Lead internal and external audits for ISO standards (9001/14001/45001).
• Drive continuous improvement and promote a positive safety culture.
• Advise managers on HSE best practice and compliance.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Support environmental and compliance initiatives.
