• Senior leadership experience in commissioning for children’s services.
• Proven ability to manage substantial budgets, contracts and provider relationships.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and statutory responsibilities in children’s services.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning strategy and transformation programmes across Children’s and Young People’s Services.
• Shape and develop a sustainable provider market delivering value for money services.
• Drive evidence-based decision making, market insight and service redesign.
• Oversee commissioning, procurement, contract management, mobilisation and evaluation.
• Build strategic relationships with partners across public, private and voluntary sectors.
• Support statutory sufficiency duties and safeguarding responsibilities.
