We're partnering with a well-established, high-growth processor in South Wales to appoint aN Interim General Manager who can help them transition, and manage growth throughout their business. This is a rare opportunity to take the reins of a fast-paced, branded and own-label food business with deep roots in the UK retail and foodservice sectors. The site is undergoing significant investment and transformation, and we're looking for a commercially aware, operationally biased GM who thrives in a dynamic, change-oriented environment.

This position is very much a stop gap until they find the long term solution, so if you are open to a permanant solutionn, but open and immediately available, this could be a perfect situation.

The Role
  • Full site leadership across production, engineering, planning, technical, and H&S
  • Drive operational KPIs, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team across all functions
  • Collaborate with commercial and NPD teams to deliver customer excellence
  • Champion a culture of accountability, safety, and quality and help set the business up for future, long term success
The Person
  • Proven track record in food manufacturing leadership, with P&L responsibility
  • Strong operational bias with a deep understanding of factory rhythms and constraints
  • Inspirational leader with a hands-on, sleeves-up approach to problem solving
  • Commercially astute, with experience managing budgets, capex, and customer relationships
  • Comfortable navigating change, investment, and growth in a branded environment
