Job summary

Social Housing Provider in Hampshire is recruiting an interim Fire Safety Projects Lead to manage and deliver specialist projects arising from Fire Risk Assessments and statutory compliance.

You will take ownership from survey through procurement, contractor management, delivery and completion, ensuring safety, on time, and within budget.

A strong background in project management, surveying or construction, plus NEBOSH Fire Safety, is preferred; driving licence required.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• A Fire Safety qualification such as NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management.
• Strong knowledge of Fire Risk Assessments, fire safety procedures and statutory compliance.
• Experience in construction, surveying, property or building safety environments.
• Proven track record delivering fire safety or property-related projects from inception to completion.
• Excellent contractor and contract management experience.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents, contractors and senior stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Able to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of specialist fire safety projects from assessments to completion.
• Manage projects from site surveys through specification, tendering, procurement, delivery.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety legislation and health and safety requirements.
• Monitor programmes, budgets, risks and KPIs with regular reporting.
• Prepare specifications, tenders, estimates and contract docs for external works.
• Manage and monitor contractors, address underperformance.
• Support procurement in line with financial regulations.
• Maintain accurate project and compliance records.
• Collaborate with repairs, property, compliance and fire safety teams.
• Promote health and safety culture across project delivery.
