Job summary

Partner Financial is assisting a high-growth technology client in Reading to appoint an Interim Financial Controller. The role focuses on strengthening financial controls, resolving complex accounting issues, and enabling scalable finance processes within an evolving, international growth context.

The ideal candidate is a fully qualified ACA/ACCA with IFRS experience, strong technical accounting skills, and prior exposure to large-scale financial control environments.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Experience as Financial Controller or senior financial accounting role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and balance-sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen financial controls across key cycles (purchase-to-pay, order-to-cash, payroll, fixed assets, close).
• Lead root-cause analysis of control weaknesses and implement sustainable solutions.
• Resolve complex accounting issues and provide audit-ready documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end close, deliver timely financial information.
• Assist with statutory reporting, audit working papers and documentation.
• Improve processes, controls and procedures for accuracy and scalability.
• Assist with accounting policies embedding in day-to-day operations.
• Utilize NetSuite to improve processes and reduce manual work.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tech and stakeholders to resolve reporting issues.
