JHE & Partners are excited to be working exclusively with a fantastic business based near Harrogate as they look to recruit an Interim Financial Controller. This is a brilliant opportunity to work with a truly unique business who have developed an incredible culture at an exciting time in their journey. Supporting the FD, the successful candidate will play a key role in the organisation, responsible for the management of the finance team (4 employees), whilst maintaining robust financial controls and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

Key duties will include:

  • Lead the finance team, supporting a Management Accountant, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk and Credit Controller
  • Over-see and manage the month-end close, adhering to company deadlines
  • Manage treasury and cash-flow planning
  • Review monthly payroll, pensions and associated requirements
  • Ensure statutory reporting is completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Partner with wider business to provide financial and capital support
  • Many other duties as required when leading a finance function in a "hands on" role

Experience and skill set required:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Proven track record in similar positions
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with business partnering experience
  • Strong organisational, problem solving and analytical skills
  • A genuine enthusiasm and positivity for work, process improvement and working as part of a successful team
