Michael Page is seeking an Interim Financial Accountant in Didcot to manage day-to-day finances, keep the accounts accurate, and support informed decision-making.

The role covers preparing and reviewing financial statements, month-end and year-end processes, budgeting support, and cross‑department collaboration. The daily rate is £300–£330 (Umbrella) with a temporary contract. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• A solid understanding of accounting principles and standards.
• Experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and MS Excel.
• A keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Manage month-end and year-end financial processes.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Commercial reporting to the business
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Drive forward process mapping workstream
• Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Provide financial analysis to support decision‑making.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
