A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Interim Financial Accountant to manage the Accounts Payable function in Central London. The role requires substantial experience in Financial Accounting within the Public Sector and team management skills. This 6-month contract involves significant office attendance and is paid through an umbrella company. Ideal candidates will have a track record in improving payment performance and effective communication across teams.
Morgan Hunt is pleased to be working with a Public Sector organisation to recruit an Interim Financial Accountant (Accounts Payable), on a 6-month contract. This role will require office attendance 40% of the time.
As the Interim Financial Accountant, you will lead on the production of the interim and full year accounts, coordinating preparation of notes and disclosures, liaising with the National Audit Office.
You will also be responsible for the Accounts Payable function with direct line management of 1 AP Manager, and indirectly a team of 5 AP Clerks. You will ensure the function operates as efficiently and effectively as possible, there have been changes within this function to improve payment performance and communications across the wider business, and you will need to continue to develop and strengthen these initiatives.
In applying for this role, you will have substantial experience within Financial Accounting roles within the Public Sector. You must have previous experience of managing an Accounts Payable function and have experience of managing a small team.
Please note that this role is inside IR35 and will be paid through an umbrella company.
