Grant Thornton UK is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join CFO Solutions. The role focuses on on-demand and project-focused accounting placements across finance functions, with the freedom to engage via your own limited company or inside IR35 terms.

You’ll work on short- to medium-term projects, sharpening expertise across statutory reporting, financial consolidation, and management accounting. A prime opportunity for varied, meaningful work.

Qualifications

• Experience working in industry with turnover of £50m+ and in listed FTSE or Top 20 practice a plus.
• Experience in half and full-year-end accounts preparation and audit liaison.
• Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP or international GAAP.
• Experience in group accounts consolidation and intercompany accounting.
• Preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audits.

Assignment Description

Grant Thornton’s CFO Solutions provides strategic, transformation and execution support for CFOs, through multiple services including finance consultancy, finance placements, business process outsourcing and technical accounting advice. The Finance Placements team focuses on providing an on-demand and project-focused accounting service, deploying individuals and teams of interim finance professionals into our clients’ finance functions to help them through periods of challenge or change.

Skills We Are Looking For

• Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience working within Industry, in companies with an annual turnover of a minimum of £50m+, ideally within a listed FTSE business and/or Top 20 practice within financial/statutory accounting capacity.
• Experience of half and full-year-end accounts preparation, audit liaison and preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Group Accounts Consolidation and Intercompany accounting.
• Financial reporting under IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, or international GAAP.
• Preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audits.
