Dot Partners is recruiting an Interim Finance Manager in Lancaster for an initial four-month fixed-term contract with hybrid working. The role is hands-on in a lean finance function, focusing on keeping day-to-day finance operations smooth while the long-term automation project progresses.
You will take ownership of the month-end cycle, P&L analysis, balance sheet controls and intercompany activities, collaborating with senior stakeholders.
We're working with a high-growth technology business in Lancaster to recruit an Interim Finance Manager for an initial four-month fixed-term contract, with a strong possibility of the role extending beyond this.
The business has received significant investment and is entering an exciting period of growth and development. As part of this, the finance team is undertaking a major automation and systems improvement project, redesigning and streamlining a number of its core finance processes.
This role has been created to make sure the day-to-day finance function continues to run smoothly while the permanent team dedicates time to that programme.
It's a hands-on role in a relatively lean finance function, so we're looking for somebody who is comfortable getting stuck into the detail, taking ownership and keeping everything moving.
You’ll take responsibility for much of the day-to-day finance cycle, including:
There will also be periods where you'll provide broader cover across the finance function, so you'll need to be confident working fairly autonomously when required.
We're looking for a qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA - with strong hands-on management accounting experience.
Experience within technology, R&D tax claims, finance automation or systems improvement would be useful, but isn't essential.
Contract: Initial 4-month fixed-term contract, with potential to extend
Location: Lancaster
Working pattern: Hybrid - at least one day per week from home, potentially two
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, although the business may consider somebody looking for around 30 hours
Start: ASAP
This would suit an experienced Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Financial Controller who enjoys being hands-on and wants to join an ambitious business at a particularly interesting point in its growth.
