Job summary

Rutherford Cross is seeking an Interim Finance Manager for a Glasgow-based, initial 2-month contract. The role involves overseeing day-to-day finance operations, managing payroll end-to-end, and supporting month-end and year-end processes in a small team.

Qualifications

• Qualified, Part-Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’ finance professional.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a small finance team.
• Good payroll knowledge and experience managing end-to-end payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day finance function with accurate and timely processing.
• Manage monthly payroll, including pension administration and liaison with HR.
• Review and approve employee expenses and supplier payments.
• Support invoicing, income collection and credit control activities.
• Produce management information and financial reports as required.
• Assist with month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to finance team and stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvements and maintain strong financial controls.
