Overview

Cedar is partnered with a global PE-backed financial services group to help them secure a Finance Manager. This role is based in the City of London on a hybrid basis (three days per week in the office) and is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, paying up to £85,000 per annum + bonus.

The Role

As Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the group’s evolving accounting and reporting framework as it implements US GAAP and SOX. The role blends technical accounting with process development, offering broad exposure across Group Finance and senior leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing and reviewing accounting papers for complex transactions under IFRS and US GAAP
  • Supporting accounting for leases, acquisitions, and impairment reviews
  • Advising on capitalisation of software and intangible assets, and contributing to valuation work
  • Helping to align and document differences between IFRS, US GAAP, and FRS 102
  • Providing guidance to divisional and local finance teams on accounting treatments and policy updates
  • Supporting the enhancement of group-wide reporting structures and controls
Your Profile
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Experience within a large, multi-entity group or audit environment
  • Exposure to US GAAP and SOX desirable but not essential
  • Strong grounding in IFRS (particularly leases, acquisitions, and intangibles)
  • Collaborative and hands-on, with the confidence to work across global teams
Compensation & Benefits

This Finance Manager role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract, paying circa £85,000 per annum + bonus. Based in the City of London, it offers hybrid working (three days per week) along with:
