Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Interim Finance Director in Southampton to oversee the finance function within the healthcare sector and provide clear financial direction for day-to-day decision-making.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, and financial reporting, presenting findings to senior stakeholders and driving improvements in controls and processes during a ~6-month fixed-term engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong experience leading a finance function and managing financial reporting.
• Proven ability to prepare budgets, forecasts and management accounts.
• Confidence in analysing financial data and turning it into clear recommendations.
• Experience reviewing financial processes and improving the quality of reporting.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
• A practical approach to prioritising work within an Accounting & Finance department.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the finance function.
• Prepare and review management accounts to give stakeholders a reliable view of financial performance.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting activity, helping the business plan with confidence.
• Provide financial analysis and insight to support sound commercial decisions.
• Review financial controls and reporting processes to improve accuracy and consistency.
• Work with colleagues across the business to clarify financial information and resolve queries.
• Present financial findings in a clear, practical format for senior stakeholders.
