Job summary

SF Partners in Rugeley, Staffordshire, is recruiting a Finance Business Partner / Financial Analyst to strengthen reporting and provide commercial insight. The role reports to the Financial Controller and combines technical accounting with business partnering in a fast-growing distribution group.

The successful candidate will own monthly reporting, assist with IFRS and year-end processes, partner with commercial and operational teams, and help drive improvements across systems and finance

Qualifications

• Strong SAP experience, ideally SAP FI/CO, with hands-on reporting.
• Solid IFRS knowledge including consolidation requirements.
• Experience with month-end, year-end, statutory reporting and audits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reporting, management accounts and variances for commercial insight.
• Support IFRS reporting, adjustments, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Contribute to group reporting, multi-currency reporting and KPI analysis.
• Partner with commercial and operations teams to drive financial value.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.

Finance Business Partner / Financial Analyst

Location: Rugeley, Staffordshire

Working pattern: Full-time 5 days on-site

Are you a commercially minded finance professional with strong SAP experience and a solid understanding of IFRS? Are you looking for an opportunity to make a genuine impact within a fast-growing business?

We are recruiting for a newly created Finance Business Partner / Financial Analyst position within a high-growth distribution business based in Rugeley.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is an excellent opportunity to join an evolving finance function where you will play a key role in strengthening financial reporting, supporting year-end processes and providing valuable commercial insight to the wider business.

This is a varied, hands‑on role that combines technical accounting, financial analysis and business partnering, offering excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence processes as the business continues to grow.

The role

• Support the Financial Controller with monthly reporting, management accounts, financial analysis and year-end activities.
• Assist with IFRS reporting requirements, accounting adjustments, conversions and financial calculations.
• Support group reporting, multi-entity consolidations, intercompany reconciliations and multi-currency reporting.
• Prepare variance analysis, financial commentary and KPI reporting to help drive business performance.
• Analyse sales, margins, pricing, profitability and operational costs, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Work extensively with SAP to extract, analyse and validate financial information.
• Assist with audit preparation, balance sheet reconciliations and the maintenance of robust financial controls.
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to provide meaningful financial insight.
• Contribute to systems improvements, reporting efficiencies and wider finance transformation initiatives.

About you

We are looking for an analytical, proactive finance professional who enjoys combining technical accounting with commercial exposure.

You will ideally bring

• Strong SAP experience - essential, ideally SAP FI/CO.
• Good working knowledge of IFRS - essential, including reporting, adjustments and consolidation requirements.
• Experience supporting month-end, year-end, statutory reporting and audit processes.
• Exposure to group reporting, financial consolidations and multi-currency accounting.
• Strong Excel skills, with confidence in financial modelling and complex calculations.
• Previous experience in financial analysis, management accounting, commercial finance or a similar role.
• Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders across the business.

Experience within distribution, manufacturing or another product-led environment would be advantageous.
