Job summary

An interim Finance Analyst is required for a government organisation based in Berkshire. The role focuses on analysing and interpreting financial data to support stakeholder decision-making and is customer-facing within a dedicated division.

Key duties include collaborating with stakeholders, providing financial analysis and data, ensuring compliance with financial processes and governance, identifying process improvements, and supporting a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in FP&A, budgeting, management information and business planning teams.
• Experience partnering with a range of stakeholders.
• Previous Government, Security, Nuclear, or Defence experience is preferred.
• Part-qualified or qualified accountant status is expected.
• Oracle Fusion and advanced Excel experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Working with stakeholders on a regular basis to help them understand financial information for decision-making
• Provision of financial analysis and data
• Ensure stakeholders and budget holders comply with financial processes and the internal finance control and governance framework is in place
• Identify and implement process improvement activities
• Work closely with colleagues to support a high-performing team
• Occasional training and development of Finance Analysts / Graduates
