Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Interim Head of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion to lead the strategic implementation of EDI initiatives. This role will involve defining EDI strategies, managing stakeholder relationships, and creating impactful learning programmes. The ideal candidate has significant experience in EDI within complex organizations and is skilled in project management. This is a hybrid position based in the UK with a competitive daily rate.

Overview

Interim Head of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) - Strategic Lead

Daily Rate: £250 - £300
Contract Length: 6 months
Working Pattern: Full Time
Location: UK - Hybrid Working (Office/Remote)

Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of the EDI strategy, ensuring alignment and accountability across all levels.
  • Design and execute a programme focused on awareness, behaviour change, and inclusive practises.
  • Chair the Inclusion Council, monitor EDI KPIs, and produce quarterly reports for senior leadership.
  • Act as the senior liaison for colleagues' networks, fostering alignment with EDI goals and empowering network leadership.
  • Develop and deliver EDI learning campaigns and communications that resonate with diverse audiences.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Significant experience leading EDI strategy implementation within complex, matrixed organisations, preferably in the health or charity sectors.
  • Proven ability to design and embed cultural competency programmes that enhance organisational inclusion.
  • Strong background in learning and development with a track record of impactful interventions.
  • Deep understanding of intersectionality, systemic bias, and anti-racist practises.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with credibility at the executive and board levels.
  • Skilled in content creation and facilitation for diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in interpreting data and presenting progress in accessible formats.
  • Strong project management skills to effectively deliver within a high-impact interim assignment.
