Job summary

A social housing association in South London is seeking an Interim Director of Operations for a 6-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will support the CEO in delivering the strategic plan, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and engage directly with residents. Interim Director of Operations, £105,000pa
South London HA, 6 month Fixed Term Contract (negotiable)

This role is based in South London with a fairly small, innovative specialist Social Housing Association.

As part of the Executive Team, you will be supporting the CEO to deliver the strategic plan and lead a culture of continuous improvement, customer focus and collaborative working across your directorate. She is looking for someone mature, seasoned, pragmatic, experienced and resilient- willing to roll their sleeves up, deal directly with residents, work in a small organisation and appreciate that like many small housing associations they are not a steady ship.

If you are interested in this role you must have housing and repairs experience. Ideally in a smaller organisation. Your CV must show evidence (by means of achievements) in the following areas:

  • Strategic change management and leadership
  • Directorship within a social housing environment or similar
  • Housing Services, customer service delivery and complaints resolution
  • Asset and Estate management service delivery
  • Developing and delivering a positive performance/continuous improvement culture in a service delivery setting
  • Managing large/complex budgets

As well as the above you will need strong ICT skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong numeracy and persuasive presentation skills.
