Renowned for its commitment to widening participation and its diverse student body, the University of Wolverhampton places students at the centre of everything they do, seeking to drive social and economic transformation in the wider world. The University of Wolverhampton is currently seeking an Interim Dean of the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing to join the University for six months from January 2026.
As the largest Faculty in the University, the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing has circa 8500 students and almost 550 staff. The Interim Dean will lead and nurture the Faculty, as it moves towards a new stage of growth. They will drive high performance in all areas of activity, encouraging the Schools to work together closely and promoting a ‘One Faculty’ culture. They will report into the Pro Vice Chancellor Academic Leadership and Student Experience.
Strong candidates will bring a track record of impactful academic leadership at a similar size and scale. They will be a proven leader, capable of taking staff with them, working effectively with students, and tackling complex challenges. Candidates will bring tangible evidence of their involvement in enacting improvement in their own institution. The Faculty has huge potential, and this is an excellent opportunity for someone to support key areas of the provision.
