Compliance Contractor (3–6 Month Assignment)

Location: London / Hybrid
Contract Type: 3–6 Month Contract (Daily Rate or Fixed-Term Contract)
IR35 Status: To be determined

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Compliance professional to support the enhancement and delivery of the compliance framework during a period of focused development activity. The role will involve reviewing and refining key compliance policies, conducting regulatory risk assessments, mapping controls, and supporting the creation of management information tools and dashboards to strengthen oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, document, and embed updates to the Compliance Framework and associated procedures.
  • Review and update the Compliance Policy to align with current regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Conduct a comprehensive Regulatory Risk Assessment to identify key areas of exposure and compliance focus.
  • Perform Control Mapping exercises, identifying and documenting key controls, as well as KRIs/KCIs to support compliance monitoring.
  • Design and implement dashboards, tools, or reporting mechanisms to support management oversight and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Compliance, Risk, and Business teams to ensure consistency and clarity of compliance processes.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on governance, conduct risk, and regulatory compliance topics as needed.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a Compliance, Risk, or Regulatory role within (re)insurance or wider financial services.
  • Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks (FCA, PRA, Lloyd’s).
  • Demonstrable experience in policy development, risk assessment, and control framework design.
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory concepts into practical tools and dashboards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Self-starter able to deliver high-quality outputs independently within tight deadlines.
Contract Details
  • Duration: 3–6 months (with potential for extension)
