This is an exciting opportunity for an Interim Accountant to contribute to the success of a not-for-profit organisation. The role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and assisting the finance team in Oxford.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Manage cashflow, payroll, and fund accounting (including endowments).
- Ensure compliance with charity and company regulations.
- Provide system improvements and streamline financial processes.
- Assist with capital projects and income-generating initiatives.
- Prepare statutory accounts and manage the audit process.
- Line manage and develop finance staff.
Qualifications
- CCAB qualified with 10+ yr post-qualification.
- ICAEW Chartered Member (or equivalent).
- Strong background in financial reporting, and compliance.
- Skilled in system implementation and process improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Proven team management and change management background.
- Project management qualification.
- Background in higher education or charity sector.
- Knowledge of Charity SORP and fund accounting.
Job Offer
- £63,000 - £73,000 annual salary, based on level.
