Job summary

University of Strathclyde seeks an Interim Chief Financial Officer for up to 12 months to lead financial strategy and stewardship. Reporting to the Principal, you will drive investment planning and governance across Finance and Estates, ensuring value delivery and sustainable growth.

You must be a professionally qualified accountant with a strong track record in senior finance leadership within a large organisation.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified accountant with significant track record in senior finance leadership within a large organisation.
• Experience in strategic financial planning, governance and change management and ability to influence at executive/board level.
• Outstanding communication, analytical and relationship-management skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of the University's financial strategy and budget planning.
• Ensure high standards of financial stewardship, governance and risk management across the organisation.
• Provide expert financial advice to the Principal, University Court and Executive Team; oversee Finance and Estates directorates.
