Job summary

Education Experts in the West Midlands seeks experienced Assistant Headteachers to support pupils with SEMH in SEND specialist settings. The role requires a UK-based QTS and substantial SEND leadership experience, available from September 2026 for interim leadership cover.

Travel within Sandwell (B70) and Birmingham (B42) is expected. Shortlisted candidates undergo safeguarding checks, Enhanced DBS, and right-to-work verification as part of our compliant process. Salary: £285 to £315 per day.

Qualifications

• A valid UK teaching qualification (QTS).
• Substantial experience in UK SEND specialist education settings.
• Safer recruitment documents including valid right to work proof and Enhanced DBS.
• Exceptional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide interim leadership cover in SEND specialist schools.
• Coordinate with Multi Academy Trusts and schools for interim leadership needs.
• Travel within Sandwell and Birmingham areas to support vacancies.
